Time. Is this something we take for granted?
When we are young time seem endless. We go through our day with no real sense of urgency. The only real decision was deciding between 20/20 MD or Hooch!!
It is only as we get older we start to realise that time travels relatively fast. Those of us with children can testify to that. One minute we are changing nappies, the next we are dealing with opinionated teenagers!
We only really appreciate the shortness of time we have when something happens to draw our awareness to it.
For instance the death of a loved one who we thought would be around forever or a personal health deterioration which means we can't function like we used to.
These episodes make us aware that our time here is limited, we don't get a second chance at life.
Many of us spend our days being unhappy. We worry about the small stuff, get anxious over who likes us and who doesn't.
In fact we worry more about what others think than what we think of ourselves!
We build our lives around people and things that give no real quality to our lives.
Can you remember what you wanted to be when you were 5? How did that turn out?
Did you give up on what you wanted to achieve?
That dress or shirt you bought that you wanted to fit into, how did that turn out? Is it still hanging in the wardrobe?
Each and every one of you owe it to yourself not only to achieve your goals but to be the very best version of you.
You owe it to yourself to enjoy your work, you owe it to yourself to lose weight and you owe it to yourself to look in the mirror and be damn proud of what you see.
Make the mistake of waiting for the right time and you wont have any time left.
Time moves everyday, it doesn't wait and it doesn't slow down.
If you are sitting there thinking about something you haven't achieved let me ask you this.
Whats stopping you?
Why are you waiting?
